These Terms of Service apply to orders placed through our online store. Additional policies, including our Refund Policy, Shipping & Returns, Privacy Policy, and Legal Notice, form part of the customer information available on this website.

2. Customers and Use of the Store

Our store is intended for customers who can legally enter into a purchase contract. If you use the store on behalf of another person or organization, you are responsible for ensuring that you are authorized to do so.

You must provide accurate and complete information when placing an order or creating a customer account. You must not misuse the website, interfere with its security, transmit harmful code, or use the store for unlawful purposes.

3. Products, Product Information, and Availability

We sell silk sleep and care essentials under the RENESSY brand. The main characteristics, available variants, prices, and product images are shown on the relevant product pages and during checkout.

We make reasonable efforts to present product colors, materials, descriptions, and availability accurately. Slight color differences may occur because screens, lighting, and product photography can vary. Product availability may change, and placing an item in the cart does not reserve it.

Our product and care information is intended to support normal consumer use. It is not medical advice and should not be treated as a promise of a specific health outcome.

4. Prices, Taxes, Shipping Costs, and Payment

The prices shown in the store are displayed in the currency selected for your market. For consumers in Germany and the European Union, prices include applicable VAT where legally required, unless checkout clearly states otherwise.

Shipping options, delivery estimates, and shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on your delivery address, order value, selected service, and current carrier availability. Checkout also shows whether your order qualifies for the current free-shipping threshold.

Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payment processing may be handled by Shopify and third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment card details on our own systems.

5. Order Process and Contract Formation

Before submitting an order, you can review and correct your product selection, delivery address, payment method, and order details in checkout.

By clicking the final order or payment button in checkout, you submit a binding offer to purchase the selected goods. A purchase contract is formed when we accept your order, usually by sending an order confirmation after checkout or by shipping the goods, whichever happens first.

We may reject or cancel an order where legally permitted, for example if a product is unavailable, payment is not authorized, the order information is incomplete or clearly incorrect, or there is a reasonable suspicion of fraud or misuse. If we cancel an order after payment has been captured, we will refund the affected payment in accordance with applicable law.

6. Shipping and Delivery

Every order is carefully prepared and checked before it leaves us. You will receive an order confirmation by email after checkout and, where available, shipping confirmation and tracking details once your order has shipped.

Delivery times are estimates and depend on your location, selected shipping service, carrier capacity, public holidays, and events outside our control. For current details, please see our Shipping & Returns page.

Please review your delivery address carefully before placing your order. If a parcel cannot be delivered because the address was entered incorrectly, delivery was refused, or the parcel was not collected, we will review the next steps with you once the shipment is returned to us.

7. Returns, Withdrawal Rights, and Refunds

If you shop as a consumer in Germany or the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days after receiving the goods without giving a reason, unless a statutory exception applies.

Please contact us before sending anything back. We will share the correct return address and next steps. Unless we expressly offer a free return label, or the item is defective, damaged, or incorrectly delivered, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

Full return eligibility, statutory withdrawal details, return-shipping cost information, exceptions, and refund timing are set out in our Refund Policy. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

8. Statutory Rights for Defective Goods

Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory statutory rights if goods are defective, damaged, incorrectly delivered, or otherwise not in conformity with the contract. If there is a problem with your order, please contact us promptly at hello@renessy.com with your order number and the email address used at checkout.

9. Discounts, Promotions, and Gift Cards

Discount codes, launch offers, gift cards, and other promotions may be subject to additional conditions shown with the offer. Unless stated otherwise, promotions cannot be exchanged for cash, may not be combined with other offers, and may be changed or ended for future orders. This does not affect orders already accepted or your statutory rights.

10. Customer Accounts and Communications

If customer accounts are available, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for keeping your account information up to date. Service emails related to orders, payments, delivery, returns, or account security may be sent as necessary to process your order or operate the store.

Newsletter and marketing emails are sent only where legally permitted. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

11. Intellectual Property and User Content

The website, product images, text, graphics, brand elements, and other content are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, or commercially used without permission, except where permitted by law.

If you submit reviews, photos, comments, or other content to us, you remain responsible for that content. You grant us a non-exclusive right to use, display, translate, and share that content in connection with our store, marketing, customer support, and product presentation, to the extent permitted by law and our Privacy Policy. You must not submit unlawful, misleading, infringing, abusive, or harmful content.

12. Third-Party Services

Our store runs on Shopify and may use third-party services for checkout, payment, shipping, reviews, analytics, security, and customer communication. These providers may process data or provide services under their own terms and privacy notices where applicable. More information is available in our Privacy Policy.

13. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, guarantees expressly given by us, and claims under mandatory product liability law.

For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible and on whose compliance you may regularly rely. In that case, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.

These limitations do not affect your mandatory consumer rights, statutory rights for defective goods, withdrawal rights, or any other rights that cannot legally be limited.

14. Privacy

Information about how we process personal data, including order, account, checkout, newsletter, review, analytics, and cookie-related data, is available in our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms for future use of the store, for example to reflect changes in our website, products, checkout, legal requirements, or business processes. The version available at the time you place your order applies to that order. Changes do not retroactively alter contracts already concluded unless this is legally permitted and expressly agreed.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and contracts concluded through our store are governed by the laws of Germany. If you are a consumer with habitual residence in another country, mandatory consumer protection rules of that country remain unaffected where applicable.

We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, unless a legal obligation applies.

17. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, your order, shipping, or returns, please contact us at hello@renessy.com. If your question relates to an existing order, please include your order number and the email address used at checkout.
